Rev. Stephen
Y. Wengam

Rev. Stephen Yenusom Wengam is the General Superintendent of the Assemblies of God, Ghana, and the Lead Pastor of Cedar Mountain Chapel, East Legon, Accra. He is an accredited and ordained minister of the Assemblies of God, Ghana. Rev. Wengam holds a Master of Theology degree and a Diploma in Christian Clinical Counselling from the International Theological Seminary, USA. He also has a BSc. Admin (Marketing option) from the University of Ghana, a Diploma in Theology from the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary, and a Certificate in Corporate Governance from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA). In 2012, he was awarded an honorary Doctorate Degree by the Pan African Clergy Council.

From February 2005 to August 2022, Rev. Wengam served as the Senior Resident Radio Pastor of Citi 97.3FM and Citi T.V, a privately-owned media house in Accra. He hosted the "This Is Your Day" program, an on-air family morning devotion program that aired from Monday to Saturday on Citi 97.3FM. Additionally, on every 1st May since 2006, he has hosted the Family Consecration Service, a 12-hour non-stop prayer event that attracts about 10,000 people at each gathering. This program is an initiative of Citi FM.

Rev. Wengam was appointed Chairman of the Ghana Prisons Service Council by H.E. John Dramani Mahama during his tenure as President of the Republic of Ghana. Under his visionary leadership, the Sixth Prisons Council launched a Ten-Year Strategic Plan and a Self-Help Project called "Project Efiase," which sought public and private sector support to transform Ghana Prisons into centers of excellence. Rev. Wengam has also served as a member of the Fifth Prisons Council from 2009 to 2013. He is a board member of the Citi FM Foundation and has chaired several boards of various organizations.

As the West Africa Executive Coordinator of Global Leadership Training, U.S.A, since 2008, Rev. Wengam has coordinated conferences for civic, corporate, political, religious, and emerging leaders. He is highly regarded as a spiritual mentor and coach to political, civic, and corporate leaders. Rev. Wengam is the author of the bestselling book, "365 Prayer Missiles."

Rev. Wengam is the Lead and Founding Pastor of Cedar Mountain Chapel, East Legon, Assemblies of God. Under his leadership, the General Council of the Assemblies of God, USA conferred the Global Church of Excellence Award on the local church in 2022. He has traveled extensively, preaching and performing special assignments in countries across Asia, Europe, North and South America, the Middle East, and Africa.

In August 2022, Rev. Wengam was elected as the General Superintendent of Assemblies of God, Ghana. In March 2023, he was also elected as the Vice Chairman of the Africa Assemblies of God Alliance, which has 20 million members and about 98,000 local churches. He is also a board member of the Church Health Committee of the World Assemblies of God Fellowship.

Rev. Wengam is married to Lady Monica, and they have been blessed with two children: Ithra Yenupiini Fremah and Matthew-King Baanan.
